The West Broadway BIA operates with a smaller budget and mainly one staff as a newer BIA relative to others, but we are a very active organization, producing a variety of initiatives to support local merchants and benefit the area.
Our Executive Director co-chairs the Vancouver BIAs marketing committee, and developed and maintains the Vancouver BIA Partnership site and various collaborative initiatives.
This partnership has been very valuable for sharing best practices, leveraging resources, safety programs, promotions, and advocacy (eg. Economic summit and business roundtables, lowering business taxes, property tax relief programs, and Love Your City and Stock Joy initiatives which promote business areas and contribute to communities).
