There’s a new cafe in Kits, and it’s tucked somewhere you’d never expect.
Vine Coffee has opened its doors inside Artesano Nails on West Broadway, creating one of the most unique coffee stops in the neighbourhood. It’s a pairing that just makes sense: settle in for a manicure, grab a latte on your way in or out, and turn a regular errand into a proper little treat.
Made by hand, start to finish
What sets Vine apart is how personal everything feels. Owner Mimi works behind the counter and designs all of the cafe’s art herself (with some help from her children). From the merch to the signage to the smallest details, every visual element at Vine comes from her.
That handmade approach carries straight into the menu. Mimi makes her own syrups in house, and right now that means a from scratch pumpkin spice syrup that’s well worth the visit on its own. If you’ve been searching for a fall latte that tastes like real ingredients instead of a pump bottle, this is your sign.
A family affair, years in the making
The coffee itself is a family story too. Mimi’s husband has been roasting beans since 2019, and Vine is the couple’s very first location. Their small batch roasted coffee is the foundation of everything on the menu, and you can taste the care that goes into each cup.
As a Kitsilano family, opening on West Broadway means bringing something they’ve been building for years right into their own neighbourhood. It’s a true labour of love, and it shows.
Plan your visit
Whether you’re stopping in for a pumpkin spice latte, picking up your usual on the way to work, or pairing your coffee with a fresh set of nails, Vine Coffee is a welcome new addition to the Kits on Broadway community.
Stop by, say hi to Mimi, and help us give this family a warm Kits welcome.
