Little Spoon Ice Cream has officially opened its doors in Kitsilano, bringing its small-batch, handcrafted ice cream from the Sunshine Coast to the neighbourhood. Known for using real ingredients and making everything from scratch, Little Spoon has built a loyal following across British Columbia—and now Kits residents can enjoy their creations closer to home.

From the Sunshine Coast to Kitsilano

Little Spoon began with a simple idea between two lifelong friends.

Co-founders Mira and Ashley first met while studying at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Years later, after reconnecting on the Sunshine Coast, they shared a big dream: to create clean, scratch-made ice cream that chefs would love and customers would crave.

Starting in a basement with an old ice cream machine and a lot of experimentation, they spent countless hours perfecting recipes using real ingredients and traditional methods. What started as a passion project quickly gained momentum thanks to strong community support.

Today, Little Spoon produces its ice cream in Gibsons and can be found throughout British Columbia, from Vancouver Island to the Okanagan.
