Herbal Walk in Kitsilano

Herbal Walk in Kitsilano

Looking for a unique way to connect with nature in your own neighbourhood? Gaia Garden Herbals is hosting an herbal walk in Kitsilano – a guided experience through the native plants and traditional knowledge found around Jericho Beach.

Join a guided walk led by Métis herbalist LoriAnn Bird and learn how everyday plants—often overlooked as weeds—hold deep medicinal value.

What You’ll Learn

Led by LoriAnn Bird, this experience blends education with time outdoors. You’ll walk through local green spaces and learn:

  • How to identify native and common plants
  • Traditional and practical uses for herbs
  • The hidden benefits of plants growing in urban environments
  • How to build a stronger connection to the land around you

LoriAnn brings years of experience as an herbalist, author, and educator, making this an approachable and grounded introduction to plant medicine.
