On May 7th, we had the pleasure of hosting a booth at the Get-on-Board: A Night of Non-Profit Engagement, presented by the RIX Centre for Leadership at the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. This incredible event connected emerging professionals with non-profits and charities seeking board and advisory committee members.
A huge thank you to Ray Wang from RW Digital Media and Trish from the Kelty Foundation for your collaboration and support. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Rob, Erika, and the entire team at the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and the RIX Centre for Leadership for organizing such a meaningful event.
We made so many wonderful connections with non-profits doing amazing work across the city and beyond. Many people don’t realize that Business Improvement Associations (BIAs) are non-profits too, so it was a fantastic opportunity to engage with others in the sector and share what we do.
The evening was highlighted by a keynote presentation from Heidi Worthington, President and CEO of YMCA BC, followed by valuable networking sessions where attendees explored opportunities to contribute at the board level or through skill-based volunteering.
We are grateful to have been part of this inspiring event and look forward to fostering the new connections we made. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and shared their passion for building stronger communities.
