We’re turning up the fun on West Broadway! Join us on Thursday, May 22nd from 3:30–7:00 PM for a Kids Happy Hour + Pre-Show Party at Yum Sweet Shop as part of the Broadway Rocks celebration at the Hollywood Theatre.
This free community event is the perfect way for families to kick off the evening, featuring:
✨ DJ Sam Chimes spinning kid-friendly beats!
✨ A photo booth for snapshots and sweet memories.
✨ A dance party for all ages with Rock’N’Beau.
✨ Prizes and yummy treats from local merchants!
We’ll also be fundraising for The Kelty Foundation to support families impacted by the recent Lapu-Lapu Festival.
The Kelty Foundation is dedicated to partnering with mental health organizations that reach and support children and youth when, and how, they need it most. This event is a great opportunity to celebrate, connect, and give back.

Broadway Rocks Is Sold Out—But the Show of Support for Local Businesses Continues
Broadway Rocks is officially sold out, but the spotlight on Broadway’s vibrant local businesses continues to shine.
Presented by Pooni Group Foundation, Third Space Properties, and CSJW Financial, the sold-out concert—featuring L.A. rockers The Airborne Toxic Event and Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees Wide Mouth Mason—was created to celebrate the resilience and heritage of the Broadway Corridor while drawing attention to the small businesses impacted by ongoing construction of the Broadway Subway line.
While the music will play on at the historic Hollywood Theatre on May 22, the broader goal of Broadway Rocks is to keep the energy and foot traffic flowing into the neighbourhood long after the final encore. From Commercial Drive to Alma, businesses along the corridor have faced challenges due to reduced access and visibility from transit construction. This initiative encourages Vancouverites to continue showing up for their favourite shops, cafés, and restaurants—not just for one night, but every day.

A portion of the concert’s proceeds will benefit the West Broadway BIA and BIAs along the Broadway corridor, which support local businesses through events, marketing, public space improvements, and advocacy. It will also benefit PAL Vancouver, which provides affordable housing for seniors in the performing arts.
