The Canadian Bank of Commerce and The Imperial Bank of Canada both opened in Toronto in 1867 and 1875 respectfully. The Canadian Bank of Commerce opened a branch at Broadway & Mackenzie on July 20, 1927. With the June 1961 merger of The Canadian Bank of Commerce and the Imperial Bank of Canada this Broadway & Mackenzie location became a branch of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, or what is now CIBC.
