Specializing in travel luggage, books, maps, and accessories, The Travel Bug has been operating in Kitsilano since 1988. With their lease up and a new development in the works, they made the decision to stay in the neighbourhood and recently made the move to a new space just blocks away at Broadway and MacDonald.
Their friendly, well-traveled staff will gear you up for any destination and love when you drop in upon your return. “Talking to all of our returning customers and hearing about their trips” is a favourite part of the job, says Andrew. “We have such amazing customers,” he boasts.
What else contributes to Travel Bug’s success? “Always be ready to adapt” he advises. Andrew’s flexible outlook paired with a Peter Pan sense of adventure seems well suited to the travel business. When asked about his childhood goals growing up he simply responded, “I’m never growing up.”
