Kitsilano merchants and organizations in the West Broadway business area are once again partnering with Family Services of Greater Vancouver to create a special holiday for local families in need. The families involved struggle with huge financial constraints, and the holidays can be especially stressful. This is an opportunity to ease the burden on these parents and put a smile on their children’s faces. Last year’s fundraiser raised over 500 items for more than 80 local families and we look forward to another successful season.
Star ornaments that name a “wish” either from a child, parent or whole family are now on display at participating locations. Customers can choose a wish, purchase the item requested on the ornament and return the unwrapped donation by December 12th. In addition, this year we’ve combine our popular VIP Contest with our holiday fundraiser. Every wish fulfilled and donation made counts as an entry to win a VIP Experience on West Broadway – a day of pampering including shopping, salon and spa appointments and dinner for two!
Look for the wish ornaments on display at our participating merchants. Every donation is deeply appreciated, but above and beyond material gifts it will give families in need the gift of generosity, hope and happiness this season!
