Spring has sprung and some new businesses have popped up on West Broadway! Here’s a recap of the latest additions to our West Broadway neighbourhood.
Fresh Ideas Start Here , or F.I.S.H. for short, has expanded from their Burnaby location to join us in the heart of Kits at Broadway and Bayswater. A local purveyor of sustainable seafood since 2008, they expanded to launch their own line of smoked seafood cheekily named Shmoked (without additives and preservatives we might add). They’re also the go-to supplier for many of the cities top chefs and restaurants including The Farmers Apprentice, Maenam and West – so it’s clear they know their seafood. Not only are they stocked with a variety of Oceanwise options for your dinner table, there are talented hands creating unique and tasty dishes behind the counter such as leek and salmon terrine, Dungeness crab and halibut tortellini and other gourmet to-go dishes! Don’t forget to try the house-made black cod candy – it’s delicious.
Just a block away at 2821 you’ll notice that KK Pet Beauty has joined the street. If you think it looks familiar, you’re right; Vanessa Lee, the groomer from previous tenant Bow Wow Haus, has taken over the spot! Still offering her same great dog grooming with the addition of doggie daycare, anesthesia-free teeth cleaning as well as food treat and toys for your pooch.
East of MacDonald, a longtime West 4th fixture, Ethel’s Boutique has moved in next to the Broadway International Wine Shop. Originally opened in 1970, Ethel’s offers unique and fun women’s clothing like boho inspired tops, funky patterned tights and whimsical jewelry and accessories.
A stone’s throw away Ravita Health has opened in conjunction with Divine Elements Naturopathic Family Wellness. At 
first glance it seems to be just a retail space for medical grade vitamins and supplements, but they also offer a variety of health experiences such as an IV lounge, yoga, workshops, and group detox options. Drop in to see how their offerings can help to support and enhance your lifestyle!
