You may have noticed some changes on West Broadway lately. A new development at Broadway and Balaclava has meant some businesses have had to move, but we are happy to report the majority of them have relocated within our business area and remain in the community! Once finished, the development will bring in new exciting opportunities as well.
Back in February, Kidsbooks found a new, bigger home in the previous Q4 location at 2557 West Broadway complete with FREE underground parking. If you haven’t made the trip yet, it’s well worth it.
Long- time West Broadway staple, The Travel Bug, also made the move a few blocks East to 2865 West Broadway where they not only continue to share their space with go-to Travel experts, Travel Best Bets (making it an obvious one-stop shop for travel plans and products) but also have Just Field Hockey on site. You won’t see the helmets and sticks just hanging out between the travel books and money belts – you have to keep an eye out for the door in the back that will lead you to a collection of gear and products to outfit you like a pro.
Sparkle & Junebug has joined fellow family-friendly neighbours Kidsbooks, Yoga Buttons, Babes on Fourth, Bopomo Pictures and Aunt Em’s to make up our newly dubbed “Kidsilano” stretch! They have just put the finishing touches on their new location and it’s nothing short of beautiful. See it for yourself this Saturday May 7th during their house warming party. Yoga buttons will be there to get things moving and West Side Music Together will be singing in celebration! Make sure to RSVP on their Facebook page for a $10 coupon.
